The word network is a very figurative term that we most often associate with images of spider or fishing nets. Both of these examples also have an additional symbolic value in common because they are used for catching and capturing prey. In the proto-Slavic language, a network represents an object woven (interwoven) from evenly spaced threads of different materials. In a conceptual sense, a network is all things that are connected for a specific purpose.

The word network is almost always associated with the connection and mutual interaction of elements within an imagined or real system. The network (today) also represents the Internet, the network of information and our daily access to that information. More recently, the web also means live, personalised interaction with information, which we have called artificial intelligence.

The Internet, in its various forms and products, brought us together and networked, provided us with enormous opportunities, imitated our real environment and needs for socialising and mutual interaction, and began to create and resonate with new rules and values ​​that, from the unreal, virtual, began to overflow in real.

Virtual networks simulated our real habits and needs and in that way got closer to us. We gained access to a wider audience, the ability to selectively show the bright parts of our lives and habits and cover up any potential flaws. For years, I have observed the trends and development of digital communication, casual, personal and corporate. The use of abbreviations became more frequent, the vocabulary became smaller, while pictorial emotional patterns (emoticons) ended or accelerated communication, often forming the flow of entire communications. Democratised media and free instant messaging have made us "talk" more, but we also have less and less idea about what we want or have to say. We have reached the moment when communication becomes an act, a kind of special psychophysical need, but without a goal, content, lesson or message. We have become instruments that understand less and less the nature of the melody or melodies for which they were created. And that is precisely why we can rightly ask ourselves how much life in the internet (and everything we have encountered and found within it) has distanced us from the potential understanding of the web of life? And in this easily understandable reality, the web of our real lives, the thin threads of all our thoughts and desires are intertwined, our observations and feelings, gestures and appearances towards other living beings (people, animals, nature) accumulate and in the end, as a response, as a kind of counter-arrangement, it reflects on us and gives or reciprocates in equal measure.

Whether we admit it or not, we live in the context of a collective conscious in which all living creatures are interconnected in a delicate web of exchange and love. Devoting yourself to this idea and trying to understand the functioning mechanisms of this network means entering the anteroom of the inner paradise, means being protected in a special way. At some point, this whole thin network starts to feel our every movement and need.

The network as a concept seems to have two completely opposite ends. One of these ends could be presented and interpreted through the context of the usurper, trap and bait, caught, prey, while the other end could be implemented through the understanding of mutual connection, intertwining, collective purpose. It is up to us to decide which of these two ends we will grasp.
